uni.....WHAT... UNI?!

I'm a uni student now :D

it's been two weeks into uni and i haven't anything about it :S

so to make up for it this whole post will be dedicated to it

lets start off with orientation......

for my uni we have orientation week

this not only consist of course details and campus tours...

but mostly fun social activities like nerd dodge ball, engineering jungle escape, poker night and lots more

throughout the week i spent it with my high school engineering group who are a bunch of fun people

we got a lot of freebies, played on the Xbox kinetic and took many crazy fun photos

looking at how much fun i was having with these awesome people i knew i would be in good hands for uni :)

then uni officially starts.....

for the first semester i am doing this basic course overview then doing my major of the course later

my main assessment topic is about the great barrier reef and my experiment subjects are chem and geo

unfortunately for me i have to take classes that start at 8AM on both monday and tuesday

this means i have to wake up around 5.30AM to arrive at least 15 before the actual class starts

but on the other hand i get later times during the rest of the week :D

i get to go on excursions for geo and chem which is exciting

but one subject i hate so far is quantitative methods in science

basically its maths but collective data maths like statistics and probability... bleh!

i made some friends through the power of food....kinda

or by just coming out of my shell and saying hi

random moments:

in one of my first week lectures i had a lecture in one of the big hall lecture

my friends and i kinda arrived late so we sat at the back

you know how in the lecture rooms they have the flippy desk chair thing...

well i fell asleep in the lecture

the desk flipped

and my phone flew out of the desk/hand...down the stairs

causing me to do the walk of shame of retrieving it

i went to the campus library to borrow the recommended textbook

spent around half an hour looking like a retard on the computer

only to realise i was using the wrong site

there was this one day where i had a long gap and i had no one to hang with

i walked past a bunch of guys watching runningman :O

i talked to them for a bit then ended up watching with them

and gave some episodes as thanks :D

i was reading this recommended textbook questions of science on the bus

after a couple of pages i fell asleep

i ended up banging my head on the seat bar

causing a scene on the bus

overall what i have got from uni so far:

- waking up 5.30 in the morning is a big poop

- the cube is an awesome place to hang during gaps

- i need friends to hang at the cube during my gaps

- uni life is an expensive life

- statistics and probability are poop

- some people have late classes so they play dota 2 and stream it online for others to watch (xD at you)

- you are crazy if you wake go to uni at 7.30 even though you have no morning classes

- chem and geo are fun classes with cool teachers

- question of science textbook is boring with is good if you want to fall asleep easier

- seven eleven umbrellas only last on the week you bought it

- falling asleep anywhere other than home sweet home is dangerous

so yeah......

that's uni for me
